PaySeguePaySegue

Simple invoicing for independent businesses.

4+ months of sustained development to build and launch PaySegue.

PaySegue helps independent professionals and service businesses handle the work that comes after a job: preparing an invoice, sending it to a client, and keeping track of payment. Create a draft with customer details, line items, and payment terms, then send it by email or share its payment link.

Clients can review and pay the invoice without creating an account. Stripe handles checkout, and the funds go directly to the service provider’s connected payment account. PaySegue sends invoice and receipt emails and keeps the payment history with the invoice.

Follow each invoice from draft to sent, viewed, and paid, with failed payments, refunds, and voided invoices recorded too. See what’s been billed, what’s been paid, and what still needs attention.

From the work completed to the payment received.

The editor brings customer information, the work being billed, pricing, and payment terms into one workflow. A summary makes the invoice total and estimated processing costs visible before the draft is sent. The goal is to make a business owner’s next action clear, whether they are preparing an invoice or checking what still needs payment.

The payment link gives the client a straightforward way to review the invoice and move into checkout. Behind that simple interaction, the app has to keep the invoice and its payment history consistent when a payment succeeds, fails, or is refunded. I built the application around those transitions rather than treating payment as a button added at the end.

A product built beyond the first screen.

My work includes the invoice interface, application services, database, Stripe integration, and the emails that carry invoices and receipts. I also handle the development and release workflow, with testing and review around the parts where a mistake could affect a customer’s invoice or payment record.

More than four months of development involved decisions about both the business workflow and the underlying software. AI helped with development, but I guided the design, checked the implementation, and verified the behavior. That combination of product judgment and engineering is the same approach I bring to client applications already in production.
