Software Consultant & Independent Product Builder
Building independent products, including Tabularia and PaySegue, alongside software consulting. Client work has included vacation-rental booking, calendar, and payment tools, marketplace applications, and further contract engineering for foreUP, Grow, and cmiVFX. Work spans product discovery and interface design through backend, database, and frontend architecture.
Selected projects
Client applications. Built booking tools and customized calendar and payment workflows for Naples Florida Vacation Homes. Additional work included Twili’s online garage-sale service and WordPress implementations.
Independent product development. Developed Tabularia’s concepts, application architecture, and development pipelines while gathering writer feedback and experimenting with UX and UI. Current work also includes PaySegue and Tabularia’s MCP server integrations with Claude Code and ChatGPT.

Improved and repaired Grow’s mobile business intelligence application to bring it closer to the web experience, including live data updates for customers on the move. Worked across frontend, backend, and DevOps to connect the app with Grow’s distributed systems. Also supported Epicor integration and helped design a revamped web architecture for enterprise customers.

Joined after a funding round to develop and maintain scalable backend systems for Jolt’s business operations platform. Worked across several engineering teams, focusing on backend performance and reliability for software supporting task management and food-safety workflows.

Principal Software Engineer
Rebuilt cmiVFX’s global profit-sharing training marketplace and modernized its subscription and payment services, working with visual effects instructors who produced content for the platform. Built cmiUniverse alongside it: project management and browser-based video and 3D editing tools for creative production.

The challenge. Bring project management and specialized video and 3D tools into a web-based workspace for visual effects production.
My contribution. Built playback scrubbers, custom resizable windows, particle-effect generators, advanced color pickers, and theme designers. The work also included video encoding scripts, watermarking, and privacy and security tools.
The result. Brought specialized creative tools into the browser, with real-time synchronization across tabs and mobile devices so the workspace could stay connected across screens.

Developed data-intensive applications for engineering, media, and finance. Work included in-browser calculations across thousands of personnel and inventory data cells for Vantage Systems, OAuth integrations for ChangeUp’s personalized news, and JavaScript budgeting tools with interactive charts for MoneySlinger.
Selected projects
Vantage Systems. Frontend development for a NASA engineering-services contractor’s personnel and inventory system. Implemented precise CSS specifications and instant calculations across thousands of data cells, working through a secured VPS and remote-desktop environment.
ChangeUp. Connected user-authorized social-network data with syndicated news through OAuth APIs, including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Google. The application organized personalized results into categorized streams.
MoneySlinger. Built spreadsheet-style budgeting calculations with JavaScript and jQuery, using jsPerf benchmarks to guide performance-sensitive code. Created interactive Highcharts visualizations backed by a PHP service layer.
